When Shehu Malami, also known as Sarkin Sudan, was laid to rest in the Hubbaren Shehu, there were many tears shed (Sokoto Royal Cemetery).
Abdulkadir Jeli Bello, Malami’s younger brother, brought Malami’s body to Sultan Abubakar III International Airport around 4:15 PM.
His family accepted it, led by Muhammad Cigari Alhassan, who is the current Sarkin Sudan Wurno.
Sheikh Malami Akwara presided over the funeral prayer, which was held in the Sultan Bello Mosque at about 5:30 p.m.
Some of the people who took part in the prayer were Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Sultan Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, and former Governor Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa.
Later, the body was taken to Hubbrane Shehu, where it was put to rest.
