A 30-year-old man, Mojeed Oseni, was remanded in a correctional facility by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly defiling a 17-year-old girl.
Oseni, whose address was not provided, is facing charges of unlawful penetration and defilement.
The court heard from Prosecutor, SP Kehinde Ajayi, that the defendant committed the offence on April 3 at Gbada Salami Street, Off Orisunbare Road, Lagos, around 4:00pm.
Ajayi stated that Oseni defiled the victim with his fingers without her consent, and unlawfully took her from her parents’ custody with the intent of having sexual intercourse.

The prosecutor mentioned that the defendant’s actions violated Sections 137 and 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Chief Magistrate, Mrs E. Kubeinje, did not allow Oseni to enter a plea and ordered his remand in a correctional center.
The case was adjourned until May 22 for DPP advice, as reported by Obasanjonews.com
