Once again, two Agatu youths were ambushed and murdered by unidentified assailants on the night of Wednesday, May 7, 2024.
The victims, Isaac Adanu and Cletus Ojotu, hailing from Odejo Community, were attacked while returning home from Makurdi along the Ogbaulu-Odugbeho road.
The perpetrators and motives behind this brutal act remain unknown at this time, although a resident of Odejo Community hinted at the people of Ogbaulu being involved, citing a recent dispute over the deaths of three Ogbaulu youths.

This incident adds to the rising number of unexplained killings in the Agatu LGA, with a total of 9 youths now lost to such violence.
Notably, in recent days, seven youths from Ogbaulu community, including Edoh Alhassan, Echewija Edoh, Simon Emmanuel, Annes Salihu, David Simon, Adanu Nathan, and Idu Ohili from Egba, fell victim to separate attacks by unknown gunmen.
