Isaac Odunayo, 19, was placed under detention in prison after he killed a 17-year-old girl via sexual assault, according to a Kwara State Magistrate Court in Ilorin.
According to the police First Information Report (FIR), Odunayo forced carnal knowledge on the dead after luring her into the hotel, whereupon she passed away.
45 minutes after they arrived at the hotel, the suspect attempted to flee, but the management of the establishment caught him and called him to pay for the accommodations, according to the prosecutor, Abdullah Sanni, who addressed the court.

The girl was found to be unconscious in the pool of her own blood when the manager followed Odunayo into the room.
“Odunayo confessed that he’s an internet fraudster and that he had sex with the girl, which caused her to bleed to death,” he stated during the police interview.
After reviewing the prosecutor’s petition, Magistrate Mohammad Dasuki, the presiding judge, ruled that the suspect should be placed under detention and postponed the case until December 12, 2023.
