Sikiru Ajibola, a 36-year-old homosexual, is accused of sodomizing a five-year-old kid in Ogun State till he passed away.
Obasanjonews24 discovered that the event took place on Friday in Ogijo, in the state’s Sagamu Local Government Area.
After the Chairman of the Olorunwa Arogbeja community in Ogijo filed a case at the Ogijo Police Station, the police detained the suspect.
Arogbeja had informed the police that a member of the neighborhood had told him the suspect had sodomized the child and that the youngster had died as a result.
According to reports, the culprit was apprehended when the DPO of Ogijo division, CSP Enatufe Omoh, sent his men to the site.
The police public relations officer in Ogun, Abimbola Oyeyemi, cited the apprehended suspect as confessing to being gay during questioning and claiming that “while he was having intercourse with the deceased youngster, he gave up the ghost.”
He allegedly also admitted to having dug a shallow grave for the youngster in the bushes.
He has also led police officers to the grave of the dead, according to Oyeyemi.
Lanre Bankole, the Ogun County Commissioner of Police, has since issued an order transferring the matter to the State CIID for additional investigation and legal action.
