Israel has decided to shut down the primary border crossing that is used for delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza following a rocket attack by Hamas on its soldiers. The attack resulted in the deaths of three soldiers and injuries to 11 others, as reported by the Israeli army.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the rockets were fired by Palestinian militants near the Kerem Shalom crossing, close to a civilian shelter near the Rafah crossing with Egypt. The IDF condemned Hamas for using humanitarian sites and civilians as human shields in this attack.

Wahab shared on his social media account about a property in Mende Villa, Maryland, where the developer had encroached on a setback despite being given temporary and conditional approval. Following discussions with the directors, the Governor approved a reduction in the right of way (ROW) from 140 meters to 100 meters, with a 60/40 distribution between Mende and Ogudu areas.

The assault occurred simultaneously with the discussions between Israel and Hamas in Cairo, which concluded without any progress. According to NBC News, CIA Director William Burns, who was facilitating the negotiations in the Egyptian capital, is scheduled to visit Israel this week for further talks.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has restated that the IDF is planning to carry out a significant operation soon in Rafah and other locations throughout Gaza. Despite the city being densely populated with refugees from areas of Gaza previously issued evacuation notices by the IDF, Israeli authorities are adamant about the need to eliminate Hamas fighters based in Rafah.

Jens Laerke, the spokesperson for the UN humanitarian office (OCHA), cautioned earlier this week that an operation in Rafah could result in civilian casualties and severely impact humanitarian efforts across the entire Gaza Strip, as Rafah plays a crucial role in these operations.

The Israel-Hamas conflict has led to the deaths of over 34,000 Palestinians in Gaza, marking the seventh month of the war on Tuesday. The hostilities began on October 7 with a surprise incursion by the Palestinian militant group into Israeli territory, resulting in approximately 1,200 fatalities and over 200 individuals being taken as hostages.
