Nyesom Wike, a minister for the Federal Capital Territory, cannot avoid being expelled from the main opposition party, according to Atiku Abubakar’s campaign team, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate.
Atiku’s Director of Research, Strategy, and Documentation, Don Pedro Obaseki, claimed that Wike had deserved his dismissal because of his recent request for Atiku’s expulsion, his endless complaints against the PDP, and his repeated betrayals.
The former governor of Rivers State, in his opinion, is responsible for the PDP’s entire internal crisis.
Speaking to journalists on Monday in Abuja, Obaseki declared, “Wike [is] the problem of the PDP and to expel Wike now is a task that must be done by the PDP.”
In response to Wike’s recent call for the PDP to eject Atiku, the party’s presidential candidate, as well as Aminu Tambuwal and Sule Lamido, two party leaders, he said.
Obaseki continued, “The individual who is advocating for the expulsion of others from the party is the one who ought to be expelled from the party.
Wike is the one who founded the G-5, a cult that has become popular within the party. He ran a campaign against the party against its will, constitution, and structures.
“Nyesom Wike is the only person who could have committed a party-hating act. In the party, he has engaged in combat with every known member.
“Now that Wike has gone over the line, he needs to be prepared. He’s facing a wall of bricks as we approach.
We won’t stand by as he rides roughshod over the party because “he has let the dogs of war loose.”
