Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has advised persons who are wailing and protesting the firing of 21 directors and executives from government-owned businesses to keep doing so because stopping them would be a complete waste of time and effort.
In his efforts to act morally in the nation’s capital, the minister said that no sentiments or feelings would be taken into account.
According to Obasanjonews24, employees of the sacked managing director of the Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company (AUMTCO) were shown in a viral video crying and protesting. Najeeb Abdulsalam, the MD and CEO of the business, was one of the 21 parastatals, agencies, and firms of the FCT Administration whose leaders the minister dismissed a few days ago.
