The National Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has been praised by Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for introducing the Biomodal Voter Accreditation System for the general elections of 2023.
Just after casting his ballot at Ganduje Cikin Gari polling unit 008 in the Ganduje Ward of the Dawakin Tofa local government area of the State at around 10am, Ganduje made the commendation.
“The technology introduced by INEC has actually improved, which is excellent for the democracy,” Ganduje stated.

He believed that the adoption of the new technology will significantly reduce electoral irregularities and fraud.
Nonetheless, he criticised the accrediting procedure for being cumbersome and asked for improvements.
“The procedure is slow since accreditation takes time.
The governor also expressed his gratitude to the INEC officials, security personnel, and all other participants for their dedication to making sure the poll was smooth, fair, and credible.
In order to vote for the leaders of their choice, he also urged the state’s citizens to turn out in large numbers and execute their civic duty.
