Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, has claimed that Peter Obi will not be able to win the 2023 presidential election.
El-Rufai referred to the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate as a Nollywood actor and claimed that he lacks the necessary electoral votes.
He stated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) were in a close race.
El-Rufai discounted Obi’s appeal, claiming that he would only get support in the south-east and a small portion of the south-south.
Votes in just one Kaduna Local Government Area, according to the APC stalwart, will nullify votes in Anambra.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) platform was used by the LP flagbearer during his eight years as governor of the state.
El-Rufai stated in an interview with TVC that Obi is polling at 1% in Sokoto, 2% in Katsina, and 5% in Kano.
“Just because you’re doing 70% in Anambra State doesn’t mean that someone in Kano isn’t doing 10% better than you.”
“4 million votes for Kano…
Yes, Peter Obi will win the southern states, and he will succeed there more than anywhere else. He asked.
Other than a drop in the ocean in Lagos, Obi isn’t polling well in the south-west. El-Rufai continued.
The governor joked, “He is polling in Christian enclaves in the North, but how many are there?”
He argued that the election is between the APC and PDP “because they have the footprint,” adding that “ethnic and religious hatred would not lead you anywhere.”
On February 25, Peter Obi will face Bola Tinubu of the APC, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP.
