The Serie A champions and Osimhen discussed a contract extension in the summer.

He was made fun of in the video for missing a penalty during the team’s 0-0 draw with Bologna.
After the event, Napoli issued a statement, but they faced criticism for not issuing an apology to their star striker.
According to rumours, Osimhen might depart the team in January or the following summer.
De Laurentiis, however, has cast doubt on a rumour that said the player would continue to play at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Victor is always a fighter. He is a player who can carry his own squad by himself. De Laurentiis told Chiringuito TV via Eurosport that he is not in doubt.
The players are content here and only become sad when they leave, thus Osimhen will extend the deal.
Two years are left on the 24-year-old’s contract.
