A herdsman suspected to be Wuzaipa Salisu reportedly severed the hand of a farmer named Bitrus Chawai in Damakasuwa community, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Obasanjonews.com learned that Bitrus Chawai, who is a former NULGE Chairman in the Kauru Local Government Area and currently a trustee at the state level, had returned home to prepare for farming when he was attacked by the herder.

According to his younger brother Barnabas, Bitrus went to his farm only to find cows had destroyed his crops, leading to the violent encounter.
The victim’s arm was severed in the attack, prompting his family to seek help from the police to bring the perpetrator to justice. Despite the severity of the injury, Bitrus Chawai has been bleeding since Tuesday and is in need of urgent medical attention.
