Governor Yusuf Urges Security Agencies to Unearth Sponsors and Perpetrators of Insecurity in Nigeria

The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has urged the Security Agencies to uncover the origins of the grave security problems in Nigeria in order to minimize their impact and restore peace to the citizens.

He emphasized the need for proactive strategies to address these challenges, stating that mere discussions would not suffice and that concrete actions are required from all stakeholders.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf made these remarks during the Northwestern High-Security zonal conference organized by the Directorate of State Security Services (DSS) in Kano.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf challenged the Security Agencies to utilize intelligence data gathering to identify the culprits responsible for the crimes plaguing the nation.

He called for a thorough investigation into whether politicians, traditional leaders, religious figures, or members of the business community are involved in these attacks.

The Governor stressed the importance of uncovering the sponsors and perpetrators of violence against innocent lives in order to achieve lasting peace in the country.

The conference, organized by the State DSS Director in Kano, Alhassan Muhammad, aimed to promote collaboration and information sharing among State SSS Directors across the geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

Alhassan Muhammad, the convener of the conference, highlighted the significance of the quarterly gathering of State Directors of Security (SDSes) in the Northwest Geopolitical Zone.

He explained that the initiative, led by the Director General State Services (DGSS), Yusuf Magaji BICHI, aimed to foster operational and intelligence-sharing synergy among the State SSS Directors.

The conference provided a platform for knowledge exchange, insights sharing, and the exploration of innovative solutions to address the various security challenges prevalent in the zone.

Muhammad emphasized that the security landscape is constantly evolving, presenting new and unprecedented challenges that require collective efforts to overcome.
