The legendary Wayne Rooney of Manchester United has predicted that Argentina would win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Lionel Messi and other quality players, according to Rooney, will help Argentina win the World Cup this year.
He added that Argentina would be dangerous during the competition and that they will be full of confidence after winning the Copa America last year.
Group C includes Argentina, Mexico, Poland, and Saudi Arabia.
On Sunday, November 20, the World Cup will kick off with Qatar hosting Ecuador.
“In my opinion, Argentina is the favorite. They have several strong, capable players surrounding Lionel Messi, unlike in 2018, including Lautaro Martinez, Paredes, De Paul, and of course, Angel Di Maria, according to Rooney in The Times.
They gained confidence and had some pressure lifted thanks to last year’s Copa America victory. They will also thrive in the climate.
