As part of the EFCC’s ongoing sale of seized real estate properties, six bidders won different properties on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

Today in Abuja, the second day of sealed bidding began.

In the current session, 12 properties in Lot 4 in the affluent sections of Lagos State’s Ikoyi and Lekki peninsulas were put up for auction.

Wilson Uwujaren, the public relations officer for the EFCC, said in a statement that our reporter got on Tuesday night that at the end of the exercise, bids for six properties were successful and bids for the other six properties were not successful because they did not follow the rules or the highest bid did not meet the reserve price.

With the exception of the properties listed as numbers 9 and 12, whose bid opening is scheduled for Monday, January 16, 2023, Uwujaren said, “The properties listed serially in the lot as numbers 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12, in respect of which no bid was successful, were re-opened to fresh bids until Friday, January 13, 2023.

“Today’s exercise attracted over 90 bidders.” Olaore Adebayo, one of the bid winners, praised the exercise’s openness. I want to thank the EFCC for giving me this chance.

We had no connections at the EFCC when we first arrived, so I’m relieved that our efforts paid off. “In order for more individuals to profit, I want the EFCC to offer the public more options similar to this one,” she stated.

As the EFCC began the opening of bids for sales at the National Open University of Nigeria headquarters in Jabi, Abuja, on Monday, the PUNCH bidders reportedly hit a brick wall.

This happened after the deadline for making offers to buy property covered by final forfeiture orders.

The drill, which our correspondent closely followed, started on Monday about 2:30 PM and was scheduled to last every day through Friday, January 13, 2023.
