President Tinubu Returns to Abuja After Christmas Break and Ghana Visit
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu arrives back in Abuja after spending the Christmas holiday and making an official trip to Ghana, fostering regional ties.
President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following a nearly three-week stay in Lagos, during which he also visited other places like Accra, Ghana, and Enugu State.
The president and his personal aides arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja aboard an Airbus A330, landing around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Tinubu received a warm welcome from his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; along with other senior security officials.
He returned to the Federal Capital Territory after attending the inauguration of Ghana’s President John Mahama in Accra earlier that day, where he also delivered a keynote address.
While away from Abuja, Tinubu traveled to Lagos on December 18, 2024, to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays. During his time outside the capital, he also made a short visit to Enugu State for additional engagements.
