Burna Boy: ‘Diddy Made Speed Darlington Popular’ – Seun Kuti Alleges
Seun Kuti claims that American music mogul Diddy played a key role in making Nigerian artist Speed Darlington popular, sparking a conversation about industry influences.
Singer Seun Kuti has made it clear that he is not involved in the ongoing dispute between his colleagues Burna Boy and Speed Darlington.
Remember that Speed Darlington was arrested for implying that Burna Boy engaged in an inappropriate relationship with troubled American music executive Diddy to secure a Grammy award.
In response to remarks made by some fans during a recent Instagram Live session, Kuti stated that he prefers not to get involved in the saga. He emphasized that just because Burna Boy gave him diamond jewelry does not mean he is his adviser.
He added that Diddy, who Speed Darlington claimed had an illicit relationship with Burna Boy, was actually the one responsible for making Darlington popular.
Please leave me out of the Burna Boy and Speed Darlington situation. Just because I received a diamond from him doesn’t mean I’m his close adviser. In fact, it was Diddy who helped make Speed Darlington popular in the first place.
“He shared ‘Bangdadang,’ which led to the song’s popularity. I’ve created many songs, yet Diddy never posted any of mine; however, he did repost Speed Darlington’s track,” he mentioned.
