NYSC to Pay Corps Members ₦77,000 Monthly Starting February – DG

The NYSC Director-General announces that corps members will receive a new monthly allowance of ₦77,000 beginning in February, marking a significant increase.

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, announced on Thursday that starting February 2025, corps members will receive a payment of ₦77,000.

The Director General of NYSC revealed this information while addressing the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II corps members in Katsina State.

Ahmed confirmed that the increase, approved by the Federal Government and included in the 2025 budget, will be implemented once the budget is passed.

The Federal Government has already approved the increase in your allowance, which is not news anymore since we have received the approval. Now we’re just waiting for the budget to be passed.

He said, “January has already ended. However, once the budget is passed next month in February, you will begin receiving N77,000 instead of the usual N33,000.”

The Director General urged corps members to avoid any misconduct or negative behavior that could harm their future goals.

He mentioned that hard work, integrity, persistence, and faith in God are essential for a successful life.

He also advised the Corps Members to respect and embrace the cultures and traditions of their host communities, encouraging them to integrate swiftly after departing from the Orientation Camps.

Continuing, General Ahmed encouraged them to contribute positively to their host communities by starting individual or group Community Development Service projects aimed at enhancing the living standards of local residents.
