Aisha Yesufu, a sociopolitical activist, has criticised former President Goodluck Jonathan over his meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
On Friday, Jonathan was reported to have visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja to offer his congratulations to President Tinubu following the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold his election.
Following their private meeting with Tinubu, Jonathan declared that it was past time for the nation’s former presidents to get together and come up with ideas for how to help the majority of people escape poverty.

Jonathan stated, among other things, that the election was done and that it was now time to support Tinubu and move on.
The remarks made by the former president, however, did not sit well with Aisha Yesufu, who criticised the politician from Bayelsa on her X handle.
He remarked, “Jonathan still sees himself as that child without shoes.”
“Perfect illustration of the law of the lid in action.
I have been saying this for years. He offered Buhari as a choice. A man he defeated with ease in 2011.
Even the murders carried out while he was in charge always amused him. People romanticised his presidency and made Buhari into the unrealized hero he never was by exploiting his failures.
