I Still Believe in One Nigeria – Gen. Ibrahim Babangida

Former military ruler Gen. Ibrahim Babangida reaffirms his belief in a united Nigeria, emphasizing the need for peace, unity, and national progress.

Former Military Head of State, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB), has once again emphasized his commitment to the unity of Nigeria.

Babangida addressed attendees during a gathering of the political movement, The Nigerian Project, at his Hilltop mansion in Minna, Niger State.

He emphasized that a nation divided cannot endure, highlighting the importance of unity and prosperity.

Babangida encouraged Nigerians to stay committed to the nation and its leaders, while promoting inclusive governance that values citizens’ voices, fosters open discussion of ideas, and implements policies for national advancement.

He expressed his belief in a united Nigeria and affirmed his commitment to its unity by saying, “I believe in one Nigeria, and on its unity, I stand. Thank you for following my footsteps and upholding the ideals of patriotism and national unity that we all fought for.”

He encouraged Nigerians to stay committed to the nation and its leaders, promoting a system of inclusive governance where citizens’ voices are acknowledged, ideas discussed, and policies enacted for the country’s advancement.

Earlier, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, the leader of the delegation and National Convener of The Nigerian Project (TNP), described TNP as Nigeria’s fastest-growing political organization. He highlighted that it has established structures in all 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and across all 774 Local Government Areas and wards.

He stated that the organization is dedicated to revitalizing the ideals, philosophies, and doctrines that once contributed to Nigeria’s greatness. The aim is to promote national dialogue, ensure inclusivity, and dismantle obstacles hindering intellectual and economic empowerment.
