Europa League: Next Matches for Man Utd, Tottenham, and Ajax Confirmed
The upcoming fixtures for Manchester United, Tottenham, and Ajax in the Europa League have been confirmed.
The group stages of the Europa League concluded on Thursday night.
This has provided fans with a clear sense of which opponents their teams will face in the knockout stages.
Manchester United required two goals in the second half against Steaua Bucharest to secure a third-place finish in the league phase.
The Red Devils have progressed to the final 16 and are set to face either Real Sociedad, Galatasaray, AZ Alkmaar, or Midtjylland on March 6th and 13th.
Tottenham Hotspur, their Premier League rivals, dominated Elfsborg with a 3-0 victory and are set to compete against either Midtjylland, AZ Alkmaar, Real Sociedad or Olympiakos in the last 16.
Because of the way the draw is organized, Spurs and United are unable to face each other until they reach the final.
Bertrand Traore and Kian Fitz-Jim scored to secure Ajax’s 2-1 victory over Galatasaray at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.
The Dutch club will compete against either PAOK Saloniki or Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
The knockout play-off draw is scheduled for Friday, January 31 and will establish matchups for clubs that placed between 9th and 24th.
