All 10 of the candidates who came before the Edo State governorship screening committee on Monday have been cleared by the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP.

At the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, eight of the candidates were present to accept their clearance certificates from the party’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature.
“All ten aspirants were cleared,” Bature stated.
However, because he did not purchase the nomination papers, one candidate, Balogun Sunday, who paid N5 million to receive the expression of interest form, did not show up for screening.
The ten candidates who passed are:

3. HON. FELIX E. AKHABUE
4. ASUERINME IGHODALO
5. HON. COMRADE PHILIP SHAIBU
6. ARTHUR ESENE

8. AMB. PROF. MARTIN UHOMOIBH
9. OSARO OSAZE ONAIWU
10. UMORU ADIZETU HADIZAT
