Chelle Thrilled to Take on Super Eagles Coaching Role

New Super Eagles coach Chelle expresses delight in leading Nigeria’s national team, sharing his vision for success and hopes for the future of Nigerian football.

Eric Chelle, the newly appointed head coach of the Super Eagles, expressed that he is “proud and honored” to lead the team.

On Monday, Chelle was revealed during a grand ceremony held in the media conference room of Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

The 47-year-old resigned from his position with the Algerian club MC Oran to take on the role of managing the Super Eagles.

“I’m incredibly proud and honored to take on the role of head coach for the Super Eagles. Nigeria boasts a rich history with outstanding players such as Ikpeba, Amokachi, Amuneke, Yekini, Oliseh, Eguavoen, Finidi, West, Obi Mikel,and Babangida,” Chelle remarked during his unveiling ceremony.

“I was a fan back then and still am with this new generation, including Lookman, Osimhen, and others.”

The ex-Lens defender emphasized his approach to football, stating, “I have a passion for scoring goals. My teams consistently find the back of the net, and it will be no different with the Super Eagles—we will certainly score.”
