Peter Nworie, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi Central Zone, has expressed his concern over the increasing verbal attacks and cyber-bullying within the political space of the zone.
He emphasized that if this behavior continues, the party will take necessary actions as outlined in its constitution to discipline those responsible for causing disunity within the party.
Nworie, in a press statement released in Onueke, Ezza South Local Government Area, urged party leaders to refrain from engaging in actions that could lead to factionalism or crises within the party.
Nworie further emphasized that the leadership of the APC in Ebonyi Central Zone cannot remain silent while certain stakeholders pursue their own interests at the expense of tearing apart the party that they all worked hard to build.
He highlighted that the verbal attacks and cyber-bullying have been observed among party members in the district, specifically in the four council areas of Ezza South, Ezza North, Ikwo, and Ishielu.

Nworie expressed disappointment at the fact that some stakeholders have resorted to publicly disparaging and discrediting fellow party members, while loyalists have taken to social media to engage in vitriolic exchanges defending their political principles.
Nworie warned that if these verbal attacks and cyber-bullying persist, it will only serve to further divide the party and create factions within the zone.
He stressed that the APC is a strong and influential party in Ebonyi Central Zone, as well as in Ebonyi State and Nigeria as a whole, and therefore, the stability and unity of the party should be prioritized for the benefit of all its members.
It is crucial to address these issues promptly to prevent any further escalation and ensure that the party remains united and focused on its goals.
