Ayade says that Tinubu is the only presidential candidate with the power to help Nigeria move forward.
The governor of Cross River State, Professor Ben Ayade, has said that the APC’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is the only person who can move Nigeria forward.
During an electioneering campaign, Governor Ayade, the APC senatorial candidate for Cross River North, made the announcement at Ogoja, the district’s political hub.
Ayade says that Cross River’s infrastructure and economy would be Tinubu’s top priorities if he were elected.
Ayade echoed, “If Tinubu can fix Lagos, then Tinubu can fix Nigeria.”

Speaking at the rally where hundreds of former PDP members switched parties, Ayade urged voters to support the APC from top to bottom in order to reciprocate for his accomplishments in Ogoja. He also said that justice, fairness, competence, and being able to get things done required that Tinubu be elected president and Otu be elected governor.
In a similar spirit, Senator Bassey Otu, the candidate for governor of Cross River State, urged voters to support him and his local-born running mate, Hon. Peter Odey, by promising to build on the accomplishments of the Ayade administration.
When he and his fellow countryman were elected, Senator Otu said that the current administration under President Ayade had indeed laid a solid foundation for industrialization. He continued by saying that all that remains to be done is to build the value chains and the backstop, and that once these have been completed, factories will begin operating in Cross River State, creating jobs for both young people and women.
