After being re-elected, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma praised his supporters.
Following the Supreme Court’s annulment of Emeka Ihedioha’s victory, Uzodimma was elected governor of Imo in 2020.

However, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate won the Imo governorship election on Sunday, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), after winning all 27 local government areas in the state’s southeast.
“I am humbled and honoured by your overwhelming support in yesterday’s election, my good people of Imo State,” he remarked following the win.
“I am incredibly grateful and inspired by your continued faith in me to lead our beloved State. We have triumphed handsomely as a team, and I pledge to honour the commitments I made during the campaign.
