Tragic Bus Accident in Mississippi Claims Seven Lives, Injures Dozens

A devastating bus accident in Mississippi results in seven fatalities and numerous injuries, shaking the community profoundly.

The Warren County Coroner, Doug Huskey reported that a bus accident east of Vicksburg, Mississippi took the lives of seven individuals – among them was a 6 year old boy and his sister who is aged 16.

Their mother identified them, while Huskey stated that authorities were trying to identify the remaining victims.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a 2018 Volvo commercial passenger bus overturned after leaving the roadway while travelling westbound on Interstate 20 near Bovina in Warren County during early Saturday hours.

According to the agency, an unknown number of passengers sustained injuries and were taken to various hospitals. However, it was confirmed that the co-driver did not require transportation for medical attention.

According to an ABC affiliate, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace expressed that when there are people who have been injured or killed, it is always a tragedy. However, in circumstances like this where there are numerous fatalities and injuries involved, the situation becomes even more distressing.

According to Huskey, the majority of individuals on the bus were from Latin America.

The names of the deceased have not been released as the department continues its investigation. There is no additional information available at this time.
