The ongoing feud between Tiwa Savage and Davido shows no signs of coming to an end, as Tiwa has now taken the matter to the police, claiming that her life is in danger because of Davido.
This dispute began on December 23 when Tiwa posted something on her Instagram Story alongside Sophia Momodu. In response, Davido messaged Tiwa’s manager, expressing his displeasure and accusing her of taunting him with disrespectful words.
Tiwa then reminded Davido not to contact her, especially considering the support she had given him in the past during difficult times, such as the loss of his son. As a result of this exchange, Tiwa received numerous calls and messages from mutual connections, questioning her actions. Davido allegedly portrayed her as the aggressor and expressed his dissatisfaction with her maintaining a relationship with Sophia Momodu, who is the mother of his daughter Imade and with whom he reportedly has issues.
Tiwa expressed her concern over Davido’s warning, perceiving it as a form of harassment that not only affected her but also her team members. In her petition, she argued that Davido’s actions violated her constitutional rights to life, privacy, and dignity.
Tiwa highlighted the barrage of calls and messages from mutual connections, questioning her relationship with Sophia Momodu, and the threats made by Davido. She deemed these actions as unethical and a direct threat to her rights.
Tiwa specifically referenced relevant sections of the Nigerian Constitution and the Cybercrime Act to support her claims. She further stated that she holds Davido responsible for any harm that may befall her or her family and urged the Nigerian Police Force to investigate the matter promptly. The recent unfollowing of each other on Instagram was seen as a public display of their discord.
