Senate has confirmed Arase to be the head of the Police Service Commission

The Senate President expressed confidence that the nomination would lead to advancements in law enforcement. 

Solomon Arase, a former inspector general of police (IGP), has been officially named the chairman of the police service commission (PSC).

Following consideration of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs’ report, which recommended President Muhammadu Buhari’s candidature, the lawmakers made their choice.

Ahmad Lawan, the President of the Senate, expressed confidence in the appointment’s ability to modernise the police.
