The military assault in Gaza “may force everyone to take action,” President Ebrahim Raisi issued a warning.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has said that his nation will not bow to US calls for other countries to stay out of the Israeli-Hamas war, claiming that the atrocities of the “Zionist regime have crossed the red lines.”

Raisi cautioned that the recent events in and around Gaza “may force everyone to take action” in a post on X (previously Twitter) on Sunday. He drew attention to the fact that Washington continues “giving widespread support to Israel” despite advising other states to use caution.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the foreign minister of Iran, issued a warning on Friday in an interview with Bloomberg TV, stating that the ongoing violence in Gaza “will make the situation get out of control in the region.”

The ambassador stated, “The American side should decide if it really wants to escalate, intensify the war.” “New fronts” against Israel are “unavoidable,” he continued.

Similar threats were made by Amir-Abdollahian, who spoke to the UN General Assembly on Thursday. She said that if Israel’s “genocide” against the Palestinian people persisted, the US would “not be spared from this fire.” The minister underlined that Tehran has “no reservations when it comes to our home’s security” and that “West Asia is our region.”

US President Joe Biden has promised that the US will “stand forever” with Israel, and Washington will continue to give its friend billions of dollars in defence assistance. In addition, the US has sent 900 troops, two aircraft carrier groups, air defence systems, an F-16 fighter squadron, and other naval assets to the Middle East. The justification for this enhanced military presence is that it should dissuade other states from entering the conflict.

After days of nonstop air and missile bombardment, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said on Friday that it was “expanding ground operations” in the Palestinian enclave.

On October 7, Hamas terrorists staged a surprise invasion and fired a barrage of missiles against Israel, sparking hostilities in the area. Israel retaliated with widespread airstrikes and, more recently, sporadic incursions into Gaza by its military forces.

Over 1,400 Israelis and over 7,000 Palestinians have died in the conflict to date, and thousands more have been injured.
