Primate Ndukuba offers hope to Nigerians, stating that 2025 will bring better opportunities and progress for the nation amidst ongoing challenges.

The Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, has expressed that 2025 will bring improved circumstances for Nigerians.

Ndukuba expressed this during a Monday news conference in Abuja, addressing the nation’s current situation.

The cleric stated that even though 2024 was a difficult year for Nigerians, the country would gain many advantages from its current circumstances in 2025.

He believes that the removal of fuel subsidies, rising oil prices, skyrocketing food costs due to hyperinflation, and widespread financial difficulties undeniably made 2024 more challenging than 2023.

The Primate compared the challenges to childbirth pains, which ultimately lead to great joy.

He praised the country’s fiscal and economic managers, particularly the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), for their efforts in maintaining stability in the economy.

Ndukuba also praised Nigerians for their resilience, hope, prayers, endurance, and perseverance despite the challenges of economic hardship and insecurity.

If you ask me about 2024, I would say that 2025 will surpass it in both greatness and improvement. What we’ve gone through this year is just a step along the journey to our future destination.

This doesn’t imply that there will be no challenges in 2025. Challenges will still exist, but we trust God that solutions will start to emerge.

We will start to see greater results from what has been cultivated this year, leading to improved stability.

“In addition to the value of our naira, we will start seeing effects in fuel pump prices and various micro and macroeconomic policies that are currently being implemented,” he stated.

Ndukuba, however, emphasized that the country must address greed and corruption in order to experience prosperity in 2025.

During the Christmas celebration, Ndukuba urged Nigerian Christians to practice moderation in their festivities, considering the current economic situation.

He believes that Christians should refrain from spending everything they’ve accumulated over the year in celebration of Christmas.

He emphasized the importance of celebrating the season with Christ in their hearts by supporting and sharing God’s love with one another, particularly with those who are less privileged in society.
