Police Thwart Attempted Invasion of Kano APC Chairman’s Home
The residence of Abdullahi Abbas, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, was targeted by suspected thugs, but their attempt was thwarted by the Kano Police Command.
In a statement released by SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the spokesperson for the command, it was revealed that a distress call was received on Sunday, May 31, at around 6 pm from Chiranchi junction in Gwale Local Government Area.
The thugs, armed with dangerous weapons, were throwing stones at people and trying to gain entry into the APC chairman’s house.
The Divisional Police Officer of Gwale Division promptly led a team that successfully prevented the invasion and restored peace to the area.
Although no arrests were made initially, investigations have identified Abdul’Yassar Alias Jonny, Birbiri, and Jinjiri Aljan as the main instigators, who are now being pursued. To prevent any further disturbances, intensive round-the-clock patrols have been implemented in the area.
