Osun: Adeleke to enforce findings of committee established to investigate Oyetola’s agreements

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has established an eight-member panel to oversee the implementation of the report and White Paper produced by the committee tasked with reviewing contracts awarded during the tenure of his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola.

The governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, stated that this move reflects Adeleke’s dedication to transparency and accountability in governance.

The panel has been given the responsibility of ensuring that the recommendations outlined in the review committee’s report and the subsequent White Paper endorsed by the State Executive Council are carried out effectively.

The members of this committee include key figures such as Kolapo Alimi, Wole Jimi Bada, Dosu Babatunde, Jola Akintola, Bashiru Bello, and Bello Sheriff, who hold significant positions in various government departments.

The terms of reference for the panel encompass enforcing the recommendations provided in the committee’s report and White Paper, facilitating the prosecution of those responsible through appropriate channels, and implementing all necessary measures to prevent future irregularities in contract awards and management.

The committee is expected to kickstart its operations promptly by putting into action each of the recommendations endorsed by the State Executive Council.

Adeleke reiterated his unwavering commitment to upholding transparency and accountability in the administration of state resources, emphasizing his determination to execute the directives outlined in the White Paper.
