NAF Saves Seven Chinese Nationals Kidnapped in Kaduna

Seven kidnapped Chinese nationals have been freed by Nigerian Air Force personnel.

The prisoners who have been freed from captivity are thought to have been abducted in June 2022 while working at a mining site in Ajata-Aboki, Gurmana ward of Shiroro Local Government Area. state of Niger.

The Special Forces of the 271 NAF detachment in Birnin Gwari conducted a rescue operation early on Saturday, according to the Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, which resulted in the rescue.

He said that 35 special forces were involved in the combat search and rescue operation, which took place at night in the general area of Kanfani Doka and Gwaska and involved 35 special forces. The attackers gave up their strongholds and weapons because the special forces were better at shooting.

According to the statement, two of the rescued casualties were stabilised at the 271 NAF detachment medical centre before being transported to the NAF Base Medical Hospital in Kaduna for medical examinations.

The Kaduna State Government has given the Nigerian Air Force high marks for a job well done.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed his pleasure with the report in a statement and thanked the Chief of Air Staff, the Commander, and the soldiers of the 271 NAF detachment for the risky mission.
