On Thursday, the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Birnin Kebbi confirmed that Governor Nasir Idris was duly elected as the governor of Kebbi State.
The panel’s ruling was released on Thursday and was presided over by Justice Ofem I. Ofem.
Remember that Idris of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was proclaimed the victor of the March 18 gubernatorial election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
But the Peoples Democratic Party’s General Aminu Bande (ret.) has submitted a 722-page petition contesting the election of Governor Idris on March 18.
