The report stated that while on a fighting patrol to Saulawa, the troops came across terrorists after successfully clearing out Maidaro and Ngade Alha villages in close proximity.

After the operation, soldiers retrieved terrorist paraphernalia including an AK-47 rifle, a loaded magazine with 23 rounds of specialized 7.62mm ammunition and eleven motorcycles used by the group.

The Nigerian Army reaffirmed their dedication to protecting the nation and its citizens from terrorism by stating that the resolute commitment of their troops results in constraining the movement of criminals, thereby considerably diminishing their ability to carry out operations.
