Jonathan meets with Tinubu to discuss the subcontinent and the continent

As he left the State House in Abuja, he spoke to reporters and said, “I came to brief the president about some continental and subcontinental bodies.”

“I am the chair of the West African Elders Forum and the ECOWAS mediator for Mali. So, I talk to various presidents about a few issues that are related to the continent and the subregion.

Abiodun Oladunjoye, the State House’s director of information, said that Tinubu also received the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).

In order to guarantee that all Nigerian children, regardless of their circumstances, have access to high-quality education, the President promised that his administration would devote more resources to the education sector.

He also stressed the importance of education’s transformative potential in the fight against poverty by saying that poverty should not be a barrier to education.

He was quoted as saying, “If we all believe that education is the most effective tool against poverty, then we have to invest in it.”

“Poverty should not prevent anyone, any child, from pursuing their highest level of education in order to eradicate poverty, including the daughter or son of a wood seller, ‘Bole’ (plantain) seller, or yam seller.

“You can carry the rest of the burden if you remove poverty from one family.”
