2027: APC Labels Kwankwaso a Political Refugee and Imposter in NNPP
The APC criticizes Rabiu Kwankwaso, accusing him of being a political refugee and an imposter within the NNPP ahead of the 2027 elections.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly criticized Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate. They labeled him as a dismissed NNPP imposter and described him as a political refugee lacking value anywhere.
Kwankwaso confidently claimed that he would render the APC politically irrelevant in Kano by decreasing its vote count to under 15,000 in the upcoming general elections of 2027.
In a strong rebuttal to his claims, the APC criticized Kwankwaso’s statement as laughable, highlighting that it came from someone who lost political support after reportedly being dismissed from NNPP.
In a statement on Thursday, Prince Abdullahi Abass, the Chairman of the state chapter, urged Kwankwaso to stop fantasizing and instead focus his efforts on regaining his membership in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
The APC referred to Kwankwaso as a political refugee, criticizing him for attaching himself to Governor Abba Yusuf in an unsuccessful effort to regain significance in the national landscape.
The APC also cautioned Kwankwaso and his associates that they would not tolerate a recurrence of the vote manipulation and allocation that falsely suggested strong support for the NNPP in Kano State during the 2023 general election.
The APC reassured their numerous supporters that they have no reason to be concerned about Kwankwaso, who has been removed from the NNPP due to his perceived lack of direction and self-interest. The party expressed confidence that Kwankwaso would continue questioning why he finds himself adrift in the political landscape.
He left the APC because his ideals didn’t align with our progressive values. His excessive ego and controlling attitude led him to leave the PDP, and now he’s become a political outsider as the NNPP declined to welcome him.
Abbas asserted that the APC is eagerly poised to not only reclaim Kano State but also liberate its citizens from Kwankwaso’s undue influence emanating from his stronghold on Miller Road.
Remember that Kwankwaso had made his confident statement while meeting with former councillors and senior special advisers who served under the Abdullahi Ganduje administration. This gathering took place at his residence in Kano, alongside stakeholders from Tsanyawa Local Government Area.
He attributed the success in the 2023 elections to his team’s hard work, which left the Peoples Democratic Party struggling to secure just 15,000 votes in Kano.
He pointed out that his party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, “accomplished this impressive achievement despite being a new political platform and getting a late start on its campaign.”
Kwankwaso emphasized that it is now their opportunity to lessen the influence of the APC. They are committed to working diligently towards reducing the party’s votes in Kano to below 15,000 by 2027.
