Governor Otti Welcomes Three Rescued Children, Issues Parental Warning
The three siblings, Gideon, Divine, and Israel, who were abducted in Ama Ime, Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State on May 10, 2024, have now been safely reunited with their parents. Governor Alex Otti played a crucial role in coordinating the efforts of security agencies in Anambra and Delta states, which led to their rescue.
Governor Otti expressed his gratitude to God and all those involved in ensuring the safe return of the children. He also emphasized the importance of being vigilant and cautious about the whereabouts of children in order to prevent such incidents in the future.
Furthermore, Governor Otti urged the security operatives involved in the rescue operations to ensure that those responsible for the abduction are apprehended and brought to justice. This would serve as a deterrent to others who might consider engaging in such criminal activities.
Governor Otti assured that the government would provide support to the rescued children and their families. He also highlighted his commitment to maintaining a strong security architecture in Abia State and promoting economic growth.
In a firm tone, Governor Otti made it clear that it is the criminals who should fear, not the people of Abia. He stated that he has the mandate of the people and the mandate of God, and therefore, it is the wrongdoers who will ultimately be forced to flee.
The Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Osinachi Nwaka, provided details on how the rescue operation unfolded in three stages. He personally led the first rescue operation in Ekwulobia, Anambra State, demonstrating his dedication to ensuring the safety of the abducted children.
