Ghana Is Unaware Of Abuja Threat To Citizens, According To The Ministry
Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has stated that it is not aware of any threat directed towards its citizens who reside in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.
The Ghanaian government also rejected a security upgrade that forbade unscheduled travel to Abuja.
The travel warning against non-essential travel to Abuja was released this evening, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the ministry for foreign affairs and regional integration stated in a statement. “The announcement was unapproved,” the ministry added.
The Ministry is unaware of any threat made against Ghanaians who are still getting along with their Nigerian relatives.
The statement said, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration regrets any trouble this may have caused to the travelling public.”
