First Lady of Ogun responds to alleged statements on Tinubu policies
Her Excellency, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State’s spouse, was made aware of an article that purportedly attributed to Her Excellency a statement on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s economic policies.
The item in question claimed that the wife of the governor of Ogun State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, made comments criticising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and implying that he had upset Nigerians. We adamantly insist that these nasty allegations are completely without foundation, devoid of reality, and the product of those with malice towards Her Excellency’s reputation.
We would also want to declare unequivocally that Mrs. Abiodun has never taken part in a media interview or engagement in which she would have been expected to make the statements made about her in the aforementioned story. Her Excellency has always interacted with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and his family in a dignified and respectful manner. The idea that she would criticise the President is not just incorrect but also at odds with her ideals and principles.
It is crucial to emphasise that the Abiodun family fully supports the President’s policies and believes they are in the best interests of the country. The People’s Gazette piece is a flagrant untruth, an unfortunate portrayal of the facts, and an attempt to foment division where none exists.
