Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, stated that her husband, President Bola Tinubu, should not be blamed for the ongoing economic difficulties in Nigeria.

She mentioned this on Thursday during her address at the palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, noting that Tinubu’s administration is still in its early stages.

She expressed confidence that, although the subsidy has been removed, with divine support and your prayers over the next two years, Nigeria will reach greater heights. Previous attempts to eliminate the subsidy were unsuccessful; however, together we can build a future-ready nation.

According to reports, Nigerians have been struggling with economic difficulties since the fuel subsidy was removed, causing petrol prices to soar from N198 to N1,030.
