Finnish Student Fatally Shot in School Shooting

A tragic incident occurred near the Finnish capital Helsinki, where a student was killed and two others were injured in a school shooting. The incident took place on Tuesday morning at a lower secondary school in Vantaa, a city located north of Helsinki.

Local police were alerted to the shooting shortly after 9am and apprehended a suspect in the capital. Sadly, one student lost their life at the scene, while two others were rushed to the hospital. Initially, reports indicated that three students had been injured, but this was later corrected. The suspect, who is also a student at the school, was found in possession of a handgun, which was seized by the authorities.

The students and teachers at the school were instructed to seek shelter and await further instructions. Updates regarding the incident are expected to be provided later today.
