FG plans to increase military presence in Zamfara

Honorable Kabiru Maipalace, a member of the House of Representatives, announced that the Federal Government is planning to deploy additional military troops to Zamfara.

The lawmaker made this statement during his visit to Tsafe and Magazu communities in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara to offer condolences following the recent attacks by bandits in the region.

Representing Gusau/Tsafe federal constituency at the National Assembly, Maipalace assured the communities that he would work towards ensuring the deployment of more security forces to the area to enhance the protection of lives and properties.

He urged the residents to be patient as the government takes necessary steps to address the security challenges in the region.

During his visit, Maipalace engaged in an interactive session with the members of the affected communities and expressed his sympathy for the tragic events that unfolded due to the bandit attacks.

He specifically mentioned the loss of the local government Commander of Community Protection Guard (CPG) as a result of the recent violence, emphasizing the severity of the situation and the need for increased security measures in the area.
