Two female students who were abducted from their off-campus accommodation in Sabon Gida village in Bungudu Local Government Area while attending the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State have been liberated.

This information was provided by the Federal University of Gusau’s Zamfara State Students Association (ZAMSSA) chapter in a news release written and signed by the association’s public relations officer, Comrade Umar Abubakar.

The Association declined to say whether a ransom was paid before the female students from the university’s microbiology department were rescued on Friday.

The two female students who were abducted have since been reunited with their family, according to Obasanjonews24, after being held captive for 12 days.
