Federal Government announces public holidays on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 for Eid-el-Kabir

As part of the commemoration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha, the Federal Government has designated Monday, June 17, and Tuesday, June 18, 2024, as public holidays.

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Interior Minister, made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government on Friday in an Abuja statement.

On this special occasion, the Minister wished the Muslim Ummah congratulations both at home and abroad.

Along with using the occasion to pray for harmony, prosperity, and the stability of our nation, Tunji-Ojo asked the Ummah to continue imbibing the spirit of peace, kindness, and sacrifice as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).

“The Minister gave an assurance that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR Administration is dedicated to protecting the lives and assets of every Nigerian.”

“The Minister advised all Nigerians to take responsibility in the resolve to hand over a prosperous Nigeria to our children, while wishing the Muslim Ummah a happy Eid-ul-Adha celebration,” the statement continued.
