The Federal Executive Council (FEC) authorised N5.9 billion on Monday, October 30, to build access roads for the light rail system in Abuja.

This was disclosed to journalists by Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, at a briefing on the outcomes of the Council meeting that took place this week at the State House in Abuja and was chaired by President Bola Tinubu.

The minister emphasised the need of fixing the roads that connect to the railway while pointing out that the president has established a deadline for the completion of the Abuja light rail project.
