Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser on Policy Communications to President Bola Tinubu, has alleged that Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, is attempting to overthrow the present administration.

Bwala stated that El-Rufai, who was involved in forming the current government, is now seeking to overthrow it.

This statement follows the former governor’s criticism of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing it of straying from its founding principles and promoting inadequate leadership.

El-Rufai characterized the situation of governance and opposition in the country as a “national emergency.”

In a post on his X handle on Tuesday, Bwala wondered whether El-Rufai would have held the same stance if he were part of the government.

“If you were part of the government and cabinet, my older brother, would you have maintained and expressed the same stance?”

“History is full of examples. You want to unseat a government that you helped form,” Bwala posted on X.
