Adeyinka Folarin, Ogun chief, murdered by attackers

Adeyinka Folarin, the Baasegun of the Itunsokun community in Ogun State, was slain by three unidentified shooters.

Around 8:00 p.m., the attackers—suspected to be cultists—arrived at the deceased’s home and fled as soon as the chief passed away.

Sagamu is famous for its extreme violence and cult.

A homeowner, who asked to remain nameless for security reasons, claimed that neighbours are still in the dark about the motivation behind the heinous deed.

The act, according to Sagamu Local Government employees who begged to remain anonymous, shocked the community.

The circumstances surrounding the death were still unknown at the time this report was filed, but Obasanjo News24 learned that the deceased had been buried in accordance with Islamic customs.

Abiodun Alamutu, the State Commissioner of Police, acknowledged the occurrence when he was called and gave his assurance that the police were making every effort to identify the murder’s cause.
