South Africa has announced free entry for fans as they host Nigeria’s Flamingos in a crucial Morocco 2025 U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier. The move aims to boost home support for the team.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) has opened the gates for their 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.
On Saturday, Bantwana will welcome the Flamingos for the first leg of their second-round qualifying match at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
SAFA posted on X, “Join us in cheering for the team during this critical World Cup qualifier on Saturday. Admission is free.”
South Africa dominated Gabon with a total score of 21-2 on aggregate, earning them a matchup against the Flamingos.
Nigeria, who won the bronze medal at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, received a bye to the second round.
The return match is set to be held at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday, March 15.
The team with the highest aggregate score will advance to the third round of the qualification campaign.
